Tax Manager

Opportunity available for a professional, motivated individual with diverse accounting and tax experience in a public accounting firm environment for position of Tax Manager.  This position offers an excellent opportunity for leadership, responsibility, and membership potential. To qualify, candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of tax experience (partnership and/or corporate taxation experience required), a CPA certificate, and specialized knowledge of tax laws.

Responsibilities include assisting in research, review of corporate, individual, partnership, trust and estate tax returns, responding directly to client tax technical inquiries, supervising others in the preparation of returns, sharing knowledge to develop professionally and enhance service delivery, leveraging technology to maximize productivity.

Staff Accountants

Haynes Strand and Company PLLC is seeking bright, energetic individuals with good interpersonal skills for the position of staff accountantPositions are available immediately for training in both our Greensboro and Mount Airy offices.  Experience in a public accounting firm environment is a plus, but not required.  Minimum travel required, no overnight travel.  To qualify, candidates must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or related field,  be a CPA certificate or CPA candidate, possess proficient knowledge of automated tax processing systems and Microsoft Office tools, excellent supervisory, analytical and leadership ability, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a commitment to continuous learning in a public accounting technology environment.

Responsibilities include preparation of corporate, individual, partnership, trust and estate tax returns, participation in audit engagements and accounting through preparation of audited, reviewed or compiled financial reports,  responding directly to client technical inquiries, contributing to a flexible, stable, and team-oriented working culture that fosters personal development and a positive attitude.

Support Staff

Career opportunties available for exceptional administrative assistants in the Greensboro location.  Candidates should possess excellent customer service skills, good interpersonal skills, a professional attitude and appearance.  Advanced Microsoft Office skills and supervisory experience a plus.
